Five books to read before you die.

Reading is an art for some, a hobby for some, a waste of time for few and a way to learn for some. Reading means differently to different people. Everyone has different tastes. In this post, I’ll tell you which 5 books according to me, one must read before they die.
And hey, these are not the typical “Inspirational” and “motivational” books. They are books which make you go through a variety of emotions and churn, burn and turn you! If you read them all, I am sure they will change something, somewhere inside you.. each of them will give you a unique experience and enjoyment.

1. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Yes! Many will say that they have watched the movies made on this one. But you must read the book. The delightful intricacy with which the characters have been described makes it worth reading. One of the oldest books written in 1813, it still adds value to our lives.*

Lines from the book- “There are few people whom I really love, and still fewer of whom I think well. The more I see of the world, the more am I dissatisfied with it; and every day confirms my belief of the inconsistency of all human characters, and of the little dependence that can be placed on the appearance of merit or sense.”

2. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
It is like a classic of the modern American Literature. Written in 1960, it throws light on the controversial topic of racism through a unique vision.*

Lines from the book- “I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It’s when you know you’re licked before you begin, but you begin anyway and see it through no matter what.

3. The Counte of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas
This book is from the same author who wrote the famous ‘The Three Musketeers’ written in 1844, it is a classic story of the emotion of revenge. The plot is highly interesting and the details of everything are too amazing to describe. This book will linger in your mind long after you have finished reading it.*

Lines from the book- “Moral wounds have this peculiarity – they may be hidden, but they never close; always painful, always ready to bleed when touched, they remain fresh and open in the heart.”

4. Coma by Robin Cook
Written in 1977 this a medical fiction book and a pure thrill to read. The plot revolves around a doctor and a mystery and is interesting to read. *

Lines from the book- No decision is easy, Sue. It only looks that way when you’re young. When you’re older, everything is complicated. There is no black and white, only gray.”

5. Tell me Your Dreams by Sidney Sheldon
The author Sheldon has always been in controversies regarding the content of his books. This book written in 1998 will leave you shocked, horrified and perhaps a little dizzy. The 3 characters in this book are very interesting and the end will keep you thinking.*

Lines from the book- “Someone was following her. She had read about stalkers, but they belonged in a different, violent world. She had no idea who it could be, who would want to harm her. She was trying desperately hard not to panic, but lately her sleep had been filled with unbearable nightmares, and she had awakened each morning with a feeling of impending doom. Perhaps it’s all in my imagination, Ashley Patterson thought. I’m working too hard. I need a vacation.”

*Note: Almost all books have movies based on them. Why?? because the books themselves are so amazing that the people who read them thought of converting them into movies!! Read the books & then watch the movies if you haven’t because books give your imagination a kick which movies cannot. And if you have already watched the movies without reading the books, I would suggest you do read them so that you get the experience which I’ve mentioned above!! 🙂

Well, that was the list.I do hope you read them! Enjoy!

🙂 🙂
